Why it happens

Recommended adjustments (as provided)
- Set power mode to High performance.

Advanced power settings steps (as provided)
- Press Windows + X and select Power Options.
- Click Additional power settings (top-right of the window).
- Select Change plan settings for the current plan.
- Click Change advanced power settings.
- Expand Processor power management:
- Set System cooling policy (On battery and Plugged in) to Active.
- Set Maximum processor state (On battery and Plugged in) to 100%.
- If there is a wireless adapter:
- Expand Wireless Adapter Settings and set Power Saving Mode to Maximum Performance for both battery and plugged-in.
- If using Intel graphics:
- Find Intel Graphics Settings and set Intel Graphics Power Plan to Maximum Performance for both battery and plugged-in.

- Right-click on an empty area of the desktop and select Graphics Properties.
- In Intel graphics settings, select Power.
- Choose the desired power mode and click Apply.
